Carefully wrap the blue cheese in cling film and place it in the freezer for about 10–15 minutes. This makes grating the cheese later easier.

In the meantime, wash the fresh figs, pat them dry, and halve them lengthwise. Arrange the fig halves decoratively on a plate.

Remove the cheese from the freezer and grate it directly over the figs.

Serve with a glass of well-chilled Austrian sparkling wine to perfectly enhance the flavors.
