Prepare two bowls: one with 1 liter of hot water and one with 1 liter of cold water. Score the tamarillos crosswise and place them in the hot water for one minute. Then immediately transfer them to the cold water. After another minute, the skin can be easily peeled off. Cut the peeled tamarillos into small pieces.

Peel the apple and coarsely grate it. Cut the onion into coarse pieces, slice the garlic thinly.

Heat one tablespoon of olive oil in a pot and sauté the onion and garlic until translucent.
Chef's tip
The chutney tastes excellent with grilled chicken or as a fruity dip with strong mountain cheese.
