Preparation method

Ingredients overview

  • 1050 g flesh of watermelon and cantaloupe (700 g watermelon, 350 g cantaloupe)
  • 120 g cucumber
  • 200 g feta
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • 1 handful fresh mint
  • 1 pinch table salt
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper

Cut both melon varieties (watermelon and cantaloupe) into bite-sized cubes. Peel the cucumber, halve it lengthwise, remove the seeds with a spoon, and slice the cucumber thinly. Place everything into a large bowl.

Cut the feta into small cubes or crumble it coarsely and add it to the melons and cucumber in the bowl.

Add olive oil, freshly squeezed lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Finely chop the mint leaves and mix them into the salad as well. Gently combine everything and serve well chilled, if possible.

Chef's tip

For a particularly intense flavor, you can let the salad sit in the refrigerator for 15 minutes before serving.
