- 500 g tomatoes
- 500 g watermelon
- 1 handful fresh basil
- 3 tsp fresh ginger

Wash and dry the tomatoes, remove the stem, and cut into cubes of approx. 3x2 cm. Cut the chilled watermelon into cubes of the same size as the tomatoes. Cut the basil into fine strips.

In a large bowl, whisk together white wine vinegar, sunflower oil, salt, granulated sugar, and finely grated ginger until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Add the cut tomatoes and watermelon pieces to the bowl and gently fold in. Sprinkle with basil strips and serve immediately.
Chef's tip
The salad tastes best when the watermelon comes directly from the refrigerator. This keeps it particularly crisp and refreshing.
