Preparation method
Preheat the oven to 220 °C top/bottom heat and line a baking sheet with baking paper. Peel the potatoes and cut them into approx. 2 cm cubes. Place on the baking sheet, drizzle with 1 tbsp of rapeseed oil, season with salt and pepper, and mix well. Pre-bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 210–220 °C.
In the meantime, mix the grated lemon zest with salt and pepper. Halve the chicken legs at the joint (first cut into it, then break the joint with your hands and complete the cut). Rub the chicken pieces all over with the lemon-spice mixture.
Prepare the vegetables: Peel the onions and cut them into coarse pieces. Halve the garlic bulb crosswise. Wash and deseed the bell pepper, and also cut it into approx. 2 cm cubes.
Chef's tip
For even more variety, you can also roast carrots or celery cubes. Make sure the vegetables are cut to a similar size so that everything cooks at the same time.
