Thoroughly mix the yogurt in a bowl with the curry powder, 1 tsp hot paprika, 2 tsp sweet paprika, salt, and freshly ground pepper.

Make incisions about 1 cm deep on the chicken's breast and thighs. Then generously rub the entire chicken (including in the incisions) with the seasoned yogurt. Place the chicken in a bowl, cover with cling film, and let it marinate in the refrigerator overnight (at least 12 hours).

Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat.

Chef's tip

Be sure to marinate the chicken for at least 12 hours – this is the only way for the aroma to penetrate deep into the meat and make it especially tender.
