Ingredients

  • 500 g ground turkey
  • 1 pc egg (size M)
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried thyme
  • 15 g tomato paste
  • 80 g corn breadcrumbs
  • 80 g carrots
  • 80 g yellow onion
  • 700 g potatoes (waxy)
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives
  • 1 tsp fine table salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 150 ml still water

    Preheat the oven to 190–195 °C and prepare a suitable baking dish (approx. 30 cm × 40 cm).

    In a large bowl, mix the ground turkey with the egg, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, tomato paste, and corn breadcrumbs. Add the finely diced carrots and onions and process everything into a firm mixture. Form the mixture into an oval loaf (approx. 25 cm long and 10 cm high) and place it in the baking dish.

    Cut the potatoes into small cubes (approx. 1.5 cm) and spread them around the loaf in the dish. Pour water over everything and cook in the oven at 190–195 °C for approx. 50–55 minutes.

    Remove the loaf from the oven, cut into portions, and serve garnished with freshly chopped chives.
