Ingredients
- 500 g ground turkey
- 1 pc egg (size M)
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tbsp dried thyme
- 15 g tomato paste
- 80 g corn breadcrumbs
- 80 g carrots
- 80 g yellow onion
- 700 g potatoes (waxy)
- 1 tbsp fresh chives
- 1 tsp fine table salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 150 ml still water
Method
- 1Preheat the oven to 190–195 °C and prepare a suitable baking dish (approx. 30 cm × 40 cm).
- 2In a large bowl, mix the ground turkey with the egg, oregano, thyme, salt, pepper, tomato paste, and corn breadcrumbs. Add the finely diced carrots and onions and process everything into a firm mixture. Form the mixture into an oval loaf (approx. 25 cm long and 10 cm high) and place it in the baking dish.
- 3Cut the potatoes into small cubes (approx. 1.5 cm) and spread them around the loaf in the dish. Pour water over everything and cook in the oven at 190–195 °C for approx. 50–55 minutes.
- 4Remove the loaf from the oven, cut into portions, and serve garnished with freshly chopped chives.
