Preparation method
Cook the whole wheat pasta in plenty of salted water according to package directions until al dente. Meanwhile, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
Heat the olive oil in a large pan. Sear the whole chicken breasts in it on both sides – about 3 minutes on one side and 4 minutes on the other. Then remove from the pan and set aside briefly.
Reduce the heat and sauté the finely diced onion together with the pressed garlic in the remaining frying fat for about 2 minutes until translucent. Then increase the heat slightly again and briefly roast the tomato paste.
Chef's tip
For an extra creamy sauce, you can add a splash of cream at the end. Serve the dish with freshly grated Parmesan for an extra Italian flair!
