Preparing the Wings
Wash the chicken wings and pat them dry. Cut off the tips (wing ends) and halve the wings at the joint.
In a bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, sweet paprika powder, salt, and pepper well. Toss the prepared chicken wings in it so they are evenly marinated, and set aside briefly.
Frying
In a pot or deep pan, heat plenty of vegetable oil to approx. 160 °C. The oil should be deep enough for the wings to float in it.
Chef's tip
For a particularly spicy variation, you can toss the freshly fried wings directly in the sweet chili sauce and then sprinkle with chives.
Make sure not to fry too many wings at once, so that the oil temperature does not drop too much and they become nicely crispy.
