Ingredients

  • 400 g chicken leg fillet (boneless, skinless)
  • 1 pc. egg (size M)
  • 150 g cornflakes (unsweetened)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 bunch spring onion
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil

Method

    Remove tendons and fat from the chicken meat and cut into pieces about 3x3 cm. Lightly salt the meat. Whisk the egg in a deep bowl, add a pinch of salt and whisk well with a fork.

    Place the cornflakes in another bowl and coarsely crumble them with your hands – it's okay if some pieces remain a bit larger. First, dip the meat pieces in the egg and then firmly press them all around in the cornflake crumbs.

    Place the breaded strips in the air fryer basket, drizzle (or spray) with a little oil and bake at 200 °C for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Flip once halfway through the cooking time.

    Sprinkle the finished chicken strips with finely chopped spring onions and serve with ketchup or a dip as desired.
