Ingredients
- 500 g skinless chicken breast
- 20 g breakfast bacon
- 60 g cheddar cheese block
- 1 pc spring onion
Pantry
- 30 ml rapeseed oil
- 3 g chili flakes
- 1 pinch fine iodized table salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
Preparation
- 1Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Line a baking tray with baking paper and prepare 8 wooden skewers.
- 2Cut the bacon into small cubes and finely chop the spring onion. Wash the chicken breast, pat it dry, and cut it into approx. 2 cm cubes. Place the meat in a bowl.
Preparation & Baking
- 1Mix the meat with 2 tbsp rapeseed oil, salt, pepper, and chili flakes to taste. Thread the meat cubes evenly onto the wooden skewers.
- 2Place the skewers on the baking tray. Generously sprinkle each skewer with coarsely grated cheddar, the bacon cubes, and the finely chopped spring onion.
- 3Slide the tray into the oven and bake the skewers for approx. 15–20 minutes at 190–200 °C, until the meat is cooked through and the cheese is melted golden brown.
Serving
- 1Remove the finished chicken skewers from the oven, arrange them on plates, and serve them immediately. Potato wedges or a fresh salad are a good accompaniment. Enjoy your meal!
Tip
If you use wooden skewers, soak them briefly in water beforehand so they don't burn in the oven.
