Preparation method
Preparation of the Dough
Finely mash the banana with a fork. Carefully melt the dark chocolate together with the coconut oil (in a bain-marie or briefly in the microwave).
Stir the melted chocolate mixture with the mashed banana. Then add the eggs, hazelnut spread, chia seeds, and baking powder. Mix everything into a smooth dough and let it rest for about 10 minutes so that the chia seeds can swell slightly.
Baking & Serving
Preheat the waffle iron and, if necessary, lightly grease it with a little coconut oil. Add the dough in portions and bake the waffles for approx. 10 minutes until they have reached the desired consistency.
Chef's tip
For an extra nutty note, you can also sprinkle some chopped hazelnuts over the finished waffles. They taste especially good when they are still fresh and warm!
