Preparation method
Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Preheat the oven to 180 °C (fan-assisted).
Finely chop the candied orange peel. In a bowl, mix the plain flour with polenta, brown sugar, and a pinch of salt. Add the soft butter and knead everything into a smooth dough. Finally, fold in the chopped candied orange peel.
Take small portions of dough with a teaspoon and form them into balls. Place the balls with enough space between them on the baking sheets, as they will spread significantly during baking. Lightly flatten the balls.
Chef's tip
For an even more intense aroma, you can also add some fresh zest from an organic orange to the dough.
