Preparation method

Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.

Divide the puff pastry into two halves. Roll out each half on a lightly floured work surface to about 2 mm thick. Generously brush both pastry sheets with whisked egg yolk.

Evenly sprinkle one of the pastry sheets with caraway and coarse sea salt. Carefully place the second sheet, brushed side down, on top and press lightly.

Chef's tip

For an extra spicy note, you can also sprinkle some grated mountain cheese between the pastry sheets.
