Preparation method
Carefully melt the butter in the microwave or a small saucepan. In a bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk with the melted butter and about 200 g of the shredded coconut. Mix everything well and let the mixture firm up in the refrigerator for at least one hour (or overnight).
After chilling, check if the mixture can be easily shaped. If it's still too soft, gradually stir in more shredded coconut (approx. 40-50 g) until the consistency is right.
Place the remaining shredded coconut for rolling on a flat plate. Using a teaspoon, scoop out small portions of the firm mixture, shape them into balls with your fingertips, and roll them in the shredded coconut. Place the finished balls in small paper cups and store them in the refrigerator until serving.
Chef's tip
For a particularly attractive look, use small colorful paper cups. The balls are also excellent as a last-minute gift from the kitchen.
