Preparation of the Batter

Preheat the oven to 180 °C top/bottom heat. Grease a springform pan. Finely grate carrots. Roughly chop walnuts.

Beat eggs with sugar until frothy, then slowly stir in the vegetable oil.

Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, then briefly stir into the egg mixture.

Chef's tip

For a particularly fine aroma, you can briefly toast the walnuts in a dry pan before chopping them.
