Preparation

    Halve the bagels horizontally and toast them golden brown in a toaster or under the grill.

    Slice the red onion into very thin rings. Finely chop the dill.

Assembly

    Generously spread cream cheese on both bagel halves.

    Top the bottom halves with smoked salmon. Distribute onion rings, capers, and dill on top.
