- 5 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 3 handfuls Romaine lettuce leaves
- 2 tbsp Ketchup
- Tabasco
- Lemon juice
- 1 spring onion
- 1 lemon
- Paprika powder
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 dash Cognac
- 600g Shrimp
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
Preparation
- 1For the sauce, mix mayonnaise with ketchup, Dijon mustard, Tabasco, and cognac, then season with salt, pepper, and a little lemon juice.
- 2Next, wash the lettuce leaves and mix them with finely chopped spring onions, then divide among thick-walled wine glasses.
- 3Then spoon a generous amount of sauce over the lettuce, along with the shrimp thawed in the refrigerator.
- 4Completely cover the shrimp with another large spoonful of sauce and chill for 1 to 2 hours.
- 5Before serving, dust with a little paprika powder through a sieve. Serve with an eighth of a lemon and freshly toasted dark bread.
Tip
Do not rinse the shrimp, otherwise they will lose their flavor.
