Preparation method
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Grease a small ovenproof baking dish with a little extra virgin olive oil.
Cut the goat cheese log into approximately 2 cm thick slices and place them in the center of the baking dish. Wash the fresh figs, pat dry, quarter them, and arrange decoratively around the goat cheese.
Baking & Serving
Coarsely chop the walnut kernels and sprinkle over the cheese and figs along with the picked needles from the fresh rosemary. Drizzle everything with the liquid honey and remaining extra virgin olive oil, and season with a pinch of fine salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Chef's tip
For an extra fruity and tangy freshness, you can drizzle a few drops of high-quality balsamic vinegar over it before serving.
The ciabatta will be particularly crispy if you rub the slices beforehand with a halved garlic clove and toast them in the oven with a drizzle of olive oil until golden brown.
