Ingredients

  • 500 g broccoli
  • 100 g plain wheat flour
  • 100 ml whipping cream
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Potatoes as a side dish
  • Tartare Sauce for serving

Method

    Cut the florets from the broccoli and dice the stem into small cubes. Cook everything in salted water until soft. Then drain, let cool, and finely chop.

    Press the garlic. In a bowl, thoroughly mix the chopped broccoli with garlic, oregano, eggs, whipping cream, flour, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.

    Heat some vegetable oil in a coated pan over medium heat. Place small spoonfuls of the mixture into the pan and flatten them into patties.

    Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.

    Serve the broccoli patties hot. Salted potatoes and a dollop of tartare sauce make an excellent side dish.
