Ingredients
- 500 g broccoli
- 100 g plain wheat flour
- 100 ml whipping cream
- 4 eggs
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Potatoes as a side dish
- Tartare Sauce for serving
Method
- 1Cut the florets from the broccoli and dice the stem into small cubes. Cook everything in salted water until soft. Then drain, let cool, and finely chop.
- 2Press the garlic. In a bowl, thoroughly mix the chopped broccoli with garlic, oregano, eggs, whipping cream, flour, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes.
- 3Heat some vegetable oil in a coated pan over medium heat. Place small spoonfuls of the mixture into the pan and flatten them into patties.
- 4Fry the patties until golden brown on both sides.
- 5Serve the broccoli patties hot. Salted potatoes and a dollop of tartare sauce make an excellent side dish.
