- 1 kg Brussels sprouts
- 1 cup Parmesan (finely grated)
- 60 g butter (melted)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground black pepper
- 2 tsp lemon zest
Method
- 1Preheat the oven to 220 °C top/bottom heat.
- 2In a bowl, combine the grated Parmesan with the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the cheese mixture evenly in the center of a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press the halved Brussels sprouts firmly into the cheese mixture, cut-side down.
- 3Bake in the preheated oven for 16 to 18 minutes, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and the cheese layer is golden brown and crispy. After removing, let rest for 5 minutes for the cheese to set. Carefully separate the Brussels sprouts from each other, sprinkle with fresh lemon zest, and serve hot.
