  • 1 kg Brussels sprouts
  • 1 cup Parmesan (finely grated)
  • 60 g butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 2 tsp lemon zest

Method

    Preheat the oven to 220 °C top/bottom heat.

    In a bowl, combine the grated Parmesan with the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Spread the cheese mixture evenly in the center of a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Press the halved Brussels sprouts firmly into the cheese mixture, cut-side down.

    Bake in the preheated oven for 16 to 18 minutes, until the Brussels sprouts are tender and the cheese layer is golden brown and crispy. After removing, let rest for 5 minutes for the cheese to set. Carefully separate the Brussels sprouts from each other, sprinkle with fresh lemon zest, and serve hot.
