Ingredients

  • 800 g of Shrimp
  • 2 pcs of Garlic
  • 10 g of Ginger
  • 4 pcs of Kaffir lime leaves
  • 1 pc of Chili pepper
  • 90 g of Tamarind paste
  • 90 ml of Fish sauce
  • 90 g of Cane sugar
  • 30 ml of Vegetable oil
  • 250 g of Jasmine rice

Method

    Prepare the sauce: In a bowl, mix tamarind paste, fish sauce, and raw cane sugar. Stir well until the sugar has completely dissolved.

    Sauté: Heat the oil in a wok or large pan. Add chopped garlic, ginger, and chili and sauté briefly until fragrant. Add the shrimp, pour the prepared sauce over them, and mix everything well. Add kaffir lime leaves.

    Serve: Serve the shrimp hot with freshly cooked jasmine rice.
