Preparation method

Pour the plant-based milk into a small saucepan. Slit the vanilla pod lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and add them along with the pod and the cinnamon stick to the milk. Bring everything briefly to a boil.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the spices steep for about 25 minutes so that the aroma can fully develop.

After steeping, remove the cinnamon stick and vanilla pod. Gently reheat the milk. Add baking cocoa, granulated sugar, a pinch of salt, and chili powder to taste.
Chef's tip
For an extra luxurious version, you can garnish the hot chocolate with a dollop of vegan whipped cream.
