- 200 g Gouda slices
- 8 tsp mildly salted butter

Generously butter both sides of the toast slices with the softened butter. Distribute the cheese slices evenly on four of the slices and cover with the remaining four toast slices.

Preheat a pan over medium heat. Place the prepared sandwiches in the pan and toast until golden brown for about 2 minutes.

Carefully flip the sandwiches, cover the pan with a lid, and fry for another 2 minutes until golden brown. The lid helps the cheese inside melt perfectly while the bread stays crispy on the outside. Serve hot and enjoy!

For the perfect result, we recommend using a non-stick pan with a suitable lid. This way, the sandwich will brown evenly and the cheese will melt optimally.
