  • 200 g cottage cheese
  • 145 g plain wheat flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pc egg for brushing
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds for sprinkling

    Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Finely blend or purée the cottage cheese until it has a smooth consistency. In a bowl, mix with the flour and baking powder. Work everything into a smooth, slightly sticky dough and knead it vigorously for at least 4 minutes until it becomes elastic.

    Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces (approx. 80 g per piece). Shape each piece into a flat disc, press a hole in the middle, and form it into a bagel. Place the bagels on the baking sheet, brush with the beaten egg, and generously sprinkle with sesame seeds.

    Bake in the preheated oven for approx. 25 to 30 minutes until the bagels are golden brown and crispy. Let cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing and serving.
