Preparation method

Take the butter out of the refrigerator in good time so that it becomes soft and pliable. Pluck off the basil leaves, wash them briefly, and pat them dry. Then cut the basil into very fine strips or chop it finely.

Peel the garlic cloves and press them directly into a bowl with the soft butter. Add the finely chopped basil and a pinch of salt.

Mix all ingredients thoroughly with a fork until a uniform mass is formed. Season the butter again with a little salt if necessary.
Chef's tip
The basil butter also tastes excellent with grilled steak or steamed fish. You can also make it in advance and freeze it in portions.
