Ingredients

  • 500 g Gnocchi (from the refrigerated section)
  • 400 g chicken breast (cut into strips)
  • 200 g fresh spinach leaves
  • 200 ml whipping cream
  • 1 onion (finely diced)
  • 1 garlic clove (pressed)
  • 50 g Parmesan (freshly grated)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Salt
  • Ground pepper
  • 1 pinch nutmeg

Method

    Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized strips. Finely dice the onion and garlic. Wash the spinach leaves and drain them well.

    Heat olive oil and butter in a large pan. Brown the chicken strips all around until golden, remove from the pan, and set aside.

    Sauté the diced onion in the pan drippings until translucent, then briefly fry the garlic. Add the spinach leaves and let them wilt.

    Pour in the whipping cream and let it simmer briefly. Add the gnocchi directly from the package to the sauce and simmer for about 2-3 minutes until they are soft and the sauce thickens.

    Return the chicken strips to the pan. Stir in the grated Parmesan and season with salt, pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg. Serve hot.
