Preheat the oven to 210–220 °C.

Prepare a piece of aluminum foil (approx. 30 x 30 cm). Place the unpeeled garlic cloves in the center, drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil over them, and seal the foil into a tight packet. Bake the garlic in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, until soft and aromatic.

Pasta & Pesto

Meanwhile, bring a large pot of generously salted water to a boil. Cook the whole wheat spaghetti according to package directions until al dente, then drain.

Chef's tip

For an even more intense aroma, you can mix the Parmesan directly into the pesto before combining it with the pasta.
