Ingredients
- 4 slices of toast bread
- 300 ml whole milk
- 50 g butter
- 1 pkg. vanilla sugar (approx. 10 g)
- 2 pcs. eggs
- ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch ground nutmeg
- Powdered sugar for sprinkling
Method
- 1In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and vanilla sugar well with a whisk.
- 2Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
- 3Dip the toast slices in the egg mixture until they are soaked. Fry them in the pan over low heat until golden brown on both sides.
- 4Sprinkle the finished French Toast with powdered sugar and garnish with fresh fruits and mint as desired.
- 5Tip: For an extra sweet version, two slices of toast can be put together with jam and soaked together. Maple syrup also pairs excellently with it.
