Preparation method

Place the Camembert in a bowl and mash finely with a fork. Add the soft butter and cream cheese and mix everything into a creamy mass.

Season the mixture with salt, pepper, sweet and hot paprika powder, and ground caraway. Stir in the light beer until the desired consistency is reached.

Let the Obatzda rest in the refrigerator for about 2-3 hours so that the flavors can develop optimally.

Chef's tip

For a particularly authentic taste, use a very ripe Camembert. If you prefer it less tart, you can replace the beer with a splash of cream.
