Preparation method

Stir cream cheese and quark until smooth in a small bowl. Finely chop the green part of the spring onions and fold into the cheese mixture. Season with salt and pepper.

Finely chop the chives and finely chop the walnuts with a knife or in a blender. Mix both well on a deep plate.

Form a ball from the cheese mixture with your hands and roll it evenly in the chive-walnut mixture. Let the ball firm up in the refrigerator for approx. 30–60 minutes.

Chef's tip

Instead of spring onions, you can also use fresh parsley to give the cheese mixture a different herbal note.
