- 185 g tuna in its own juice (drained)
- 1 egg (size M)
- 500 g potatoes (floury)
- 100 g carrots
- 100 g zucchini
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 small yellow onion (approx. 80 g)
- 100 g spelt flour (plain)
- 2 tbsp rapeseed oil
- 1 pinch fine iodized table salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper

Peel the potatoes and carrots and finely grate them into a large bowl. Grate the zucchini as well (coarsely), lightly salt it, and let it release water for a short time. In the meantime, press the garlic and finely dice the onion.

Firmly squeeze the grated potatoes, carrots, and zucchini to remove excess liquid. Mix the vegetables with the drained tuna, egg, flour, onions, and garlic. Season generously with salt and pepper.

Heat the rapeseed oil in a coated pan. Form small patties from the mixture (yields approx. 12 pieces) and fry them in the pan over medium heat for approx. 1–2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Chef's tip
Serve the patties with a dip made from sour cream and fresh herbs like chives or parsley.
