Wash the chicken wings, pat them dry, and if necessary, separate them at the joint. The wing tips can be removed or set aside for a stock.

In a large bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, sweet paprika powder, salt, and pepper. Toss the prepared wings in it so they are evenly marinated, and let them sit briefly.

Heat plenty of vegetable oil in a tall pot or deep pan to approx. 160 °C. The oil is ready when small bubbles rise from a wooden spoon held in it.
