Preparation of the Meatballs
First, finely crush the toast bread in a blender. Put the crumbs into a large bowl, pour the cooking cream over them, and let them soak briefly. Finely dice a medium-sized onion and press the garlic. Add both to the bowl along with the minced beef, finely grated Parmesan, dried herbs (basil and oregano), and finely chopped parsley.
Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Line a baking sheet with baking paper.
Mix the mixture in the bowl well with your hands, season generously with salt and pepper, and form about 20–25 uniform balls. Place the meatballs on the baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes.
Chef's tip
Serve the meatballs classically with spaghetti or fluffy rice. A few fresh basil leaves as a garnish perfectly complete the dish.
