Preparation method
Finely chop the onion and garlic, cut the bacon into small cubes. Roughly chop the fresh herbs and grate the Emmentaler. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
In an oven-safe pan (preferably stainless steel), heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 1-2 minutes until translucent and soft, but without browning.
Add the garlic to the onion and sauté briefly until fragrant. Then add the bacon and fry for a few minutes until soft and lightly golden brown.
Chef's tip
Use a pan with a metal handle so it can be safely used in the oven. If you don't have an oven-safe pan, you can transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish after frying.
