    Place the eggs in a small pot (saucepan) so that they lie next to each other in a single layer. Pour cold water over them until the eggs are covered by about 5 cm.

    Bring the water to a boil and let it boil vigorously for exactly 1 minute. Then immediately remove the pot from the heat, cover with a lid, and let it sit for 12 minutes.

    Immediately remove the cooked eggs from the hot water and quench them in a bowl of ice-cold water to prevent them from overcooking.
Tip
This method works for any number of eggs. The only important thing is that they do not lie on top of each other in the pot and are sufficiently covered with water.
