First, we prepare the dough for the Bao Buns. Put flour, sugar, dry yeast, and baking powder into a bowl and mix well with a whisk.

Add the warm water and 35 g of the vegetable oil. Knead the dough vigorously for about 10 minutes, either with a stand mixer or by hand, until it is completely smooth and elastic. Let the dough rise, covered, in a warm place for about 1 hour.

Filling Preparation

Meanwhile, tear the oyster mushrooms along their fibers into fine strips with your hands and set aside.
