Diese knusprigen Erdäpfelkroketten sind der perfekte Snack für zwischendurch oder eine originelle Beilage. Die Kombination aus cremigem Erdäpfelteig, würzigem Cheddar und einer Panier aus Sesam sorgt für ein unvergleichliches Geschmackserlebnis. Goldbraun im Ofen gebacken, sind sie außen herrlich kross und innen wunderbar weich. Serviert mit einem erfrischenden Limetten-Sauerrahm-Dip werden sie garantiert zum Highlight auf jedem Teller!

Preparation of the Croquettes

Preheat the oven to 170 °C top/bottom heat. Peel the potatoes, cut them into small cubes, and boil them in salted water for about 15 minutes until soft. Set aside a pinch of salt for the dip.

Drain the potatoes and mash or blend them finely until a smooth mixture is formed. Transfer to a bowl and add the grated Cheddar and corn breadcrumbs. Knead everything into a compact dough. If the dough is too soft, add a little more breadcrumbs.

Form small balls (approx. 2–2.5 cm diameter) from the dough. Roll each ball in sesame until it is evenly coated.

Chef's tip

For a particularly intense aroma, use a mixture of light and black sesame. The croquettes also taste excellent as a side dish to grilled meat or a fresh salad.
