Peel the onion and cut it, along with the bell peppers, into fine strips.
In a bowl, mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil with the juice of half a lime, chili powder, smoked paprika powder, pepper, cumin, and a pinch of salt. Cut the chicken meat into strips and marinate well with the spice mixture.
Instructions
Heat another tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the chicken strips for about 3-5 minutes until cooked through and lightly browned. Then remove from the pan and set aside.
Chef's tip
Serve the fajitas traditionally in warm tortillas with a dollop of Salsa Verde. For extra freshness, sour cream or avocado slices also pair excellently.
