Ingredients
- 1 piece Apple
- 2 tbsp Peanut butter
- 1 package Unsalted peanuts
- 4 pieces Marshmallows
- 1 piece Chocolate glaze
- 4 pieces Toothpicks
Preparation
- 1Halve the apple and cut each half into two equal wedges. Carefully remove the core. Make sure not to cut away too much so that the monster remains stable.
- 2On the outside of each apple wedge (where the skin is), cut out an opening with a sharp knife to represent the monster's mouth. Generously spread peanut butter on the inside of this opening.
- 3Now insert the unsalted peanuts as teeth into the peanut butter-filled mouths. Let the children help find the right 'tooth sizes' – that's especially fun!
- 4Melt the chocolate glaze in a bain-marie. With a small dab of melted chocolate, paint pupils onto the marshmallows to create the monsters' eyes. Alternatively, ready-made chocolate glaze can be used directly from the tube.
- 5Insert a toothpick from below into each marshmallow. Insert the other end of the toothpick into the top of the prepared apple wedge to attach the eyes to the monster's head. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Tip
For an even spookier look, you can drizzle red jam as 'blood' into the mouth.
