- 3 pieces of bananas
- 100 g dark chocolate couverture
- 1 splash of lemon juice
Peel the bananas and cut them in half crosswise with a knife. The cut surfaces should be straight so that the ghosts can stand stably on a plate.
Carefully melt the dark chocolate couverture in a water bath. Make sure no water gets into the chocolate.
To create the faces, it's best to use a wooden skewer or a toothpick as a brush. Dip it into the melted chocolate and carefully draw eyes and a spooky mouth onto the banana halves. Let the chocolate set briefly before serving the ghosts.
Chef's tip
A small splash of lemon juice on the peeled bananas prevents them from browning quickly and ensures that your ghosts remain radiantly white for a long time.
