Preparation in the saucepan: Put semolina dumplings into boiling soup or salted water and simmer gently, covered, for about 10 minutes.
Preparation in the microwave: Place 1/2 litre of soup or water in a microwave-safe dish, put in the semolina dumplings and cook, covered, at 600 watts for about 8-10 minutes.
