About the breed:
Mangalitza is a pig breed that originated in Hungary. They are wooly pigs, they are named after their dense, wool-like bristles. The thick layer of fat of the animals is also characteristic, this can be up to 20cm on the back. This protects the animals from the cold in winter in the outdoors. The fat of the Mangalitza pigs has a high proportion of omega-3 fatty acids.
