Behind echt-Schreckbauer is the master butcher Sepp Mayer and his organic farm Schreckgut ("Oberseidl") in Bischofshofener, Gainfeldtal. Here - on a farm that is over 300 years old at about 1000m - he and his family breed organic cattle, organic sheep and free-range pigs. The farm butcher's shop is also located directly on the farm. This was optimized and expanded in 2022. This means that high-quality products can now be created. "Sepp" is very proud of the new climate rooms and the dry-aging maturing room, in which prime cuts from organic beef and free-range pork often mature for weeks to optimize taste and tenderness.
