Romansalat

The young Roman or romaine lettuce originally comes from Southern Europe, but owes its international success primarily to the American dish "Caesar Salad".

The light green, crisp leaves have a pleasantly spicy fresh taste. In addition to various salad variations, it is also used in Southern Europe for stews, casseroles and pan dishes.

Storage recommendation

Lettuce should always be stored in the refrigerator, ideally at 5° C and high humidity. The vegetable compartment is best suited for this.
