Schenkel Anchovy Fillets with Capers are real anchovy fillets from Morocco, traditionally processed. After 3-6 months of maturation in wooden barrels, the smaller anchovies are hand-rolled with a caper and packed in vegetable oil. Ideal as an ingredient for a Salade Niçoise or as a fine delicacy. This 105g pack stays fresh for a remarkable 167 days, offering authentic flavor.

Our anchovies are real anchovy fillets, which are still processed in the traditional way: after being caught, the anchovies are sorted according to size - only the smaller anchovies are used for Schenkel's anchovies with capers -, cleaned, layered in traditional wooden barrels, covered with salt and water, and slowly pressed with the help of heavy stones. After a maturing period of 3 to 6 months, the anchovies are drained and rinsed, and divided into two fillets. Then place a caper on each fillet, roll it up by hand, and pack it with vegetable oil in our popular jars.
Ideal as an ingredient for a salade nicoise!
