These premium Schenkel anchovy fillets in olive oil are sourced from Morocco and crafted using traditional methods. After maturing for three to six months in wooden barrels, the smaller, tender anchovies are carefully hand-packed into a 105g jar. Perfect for adding rich flavor to your pasta puttanesca, this pantry staple stays fresh for an impressive 166 days.

Description
Our anchovies in olive oil are real anchovy fillets, which are still processed traditionally: After being caught, the anchovies are sorted according to size - only the smaller anchovies are used for Schenkel's anchovies in olive oil -, cleaned, layered in traditional wooden barrels, covered with salt and water, and slowly pressed with the help of heavy stones. After a maturing period of 3 to 6 months, the anchovies are drained and rinsed, divided into two fillets, and hand-packed into our popular jars.
Add tomato sauce, black olives and Schenkel's capers to make a pasta alla puttanesca!
