The gently dried tomatoes are first cooked in a mild broth until they have reached a meaty consistency, and then they are preserved in sunflower oil. The classic on every appetizer plate. But dried tomatoes are also very well suited for sauces, to give them a more intense flavor on the one hand and an interesting consistency on the other. They taste really good, e.g. with grilled Salsiccia.
