Morbidi Salami with Pistachios
Like all Sienese cured meats, this sausage is also made with selected meats, and the addition of pistachios gives the sausage a taste of the highest quality. It is characterized by the finely chopped bacon refined with salt, peppercorns and pistachio.
It tastes best:
- as an aperitif: best enjoyed with a good glass of red wine, together with honey, fruit and cheese. Well combined with Tuscan bread.
- as a sandwich: perfect for filling a hearty Tuscan sandwich.

About the company:
It all began in 1925 with a small dairy in the old town of Siena. From then on, the name Morbidi became synonymous with "good food" for the locals. In the 1940s, in line with the oldest local traditions, we began working with pork and then with sheep's milk. Over the generations, we have evolved into a modern company with a strong focus on sustainability and a short supply chain, but we have never forgotten where we started: in a wonderful place that is still ready to welcome anyone who comes through the heart of Siena.
