Salame with "vino Chianti D.o.c.g."

Morbidi Salami with Chianti Wine D.O.C.G.

This is a salami made from 4 selected and finely minced cuts of meat (shoulder, scamerita, ham strips, bacon). In addition to the inevitable peppercorns and traditional spices, Chianti wine is added to the salami in such a proportion that it leaves a delicate but recognizable taste.

This is how it tastes best: 

• as an appetizer: best enjoyed with a good glass of red wine, together with honey, fruit and cheese. Well combined with Tuscan bread.
• as a sandwich: perfect for filling a hearty Tuscan sandwich.

About the company:

It all began in 1925 with a small dairy in the old town of Siena. From then on, the name Morbidi became synonymous with “good food” for the locals. In the 1940s, we began working with pork and then with sheep's milk, in line with the oldest local traditions. Over the generations, we have developed into a modern company with a strong focus on sustainability and a short supply chain, but we have never forgotten where we started: in a wonderful place that is still ready to welcome anyone who comes through the heart of Siena.
